Guests in conversation around a candlelit table in a wine cellar

San Francisco

Better Offline — a private social club in San Francisco.

Better conversations happen offline. Thoughtful, ambitious people brought together for intimate dinners, salons and experiences across the city.

Founding membership is complimentary and reviewed individually.

Why Better Offline

Work got more connected. Life did not.

The internet helped us build remarkable careers. It also made it very easy to spend our lives inside the same professional circles, the same feeds and the same conversations. Better Offline creates the room where people across AI, finance, art, science and entrepreneurship can actually meet — without a pitch deck, name tag or algorithm.

How it feels

Designed for the people in the room.

We curate the guest list, the setting and—when the evening calls for it—the seating. The goal is not maximum attendance. It is the right conversation.

01Intimate by design
Limited attendance and carefully composed rooms.
02Interesting across disciplines
Meet people outside your usual orbit.
03Present on purpose
No panels, no public performance and no pressure to network.

Experiences

Worth leaving home for.

Private dinners

Long tables, excellent food and a guest list built for conversation.

Salon evenings

One compelling idea, a thoughtful guest and a room that participates.

Art & culture

Private views, collecting conversations and experiences with context.

Sport & city

Suites, neighborhood takeovers and the occasional beautifully unserious night out.

Membership

Small enough to matter.

Better Offline is invitation-led and applications are reviewed personally. Founding members are curious, kind, accomplished and willing to contribute to the room—not simply collect access.

Manifesto

What we believe about time spent together.

Better Offline is built on a simple idea:

  • Curiosity over status.
  • Listening over pitching.
  • Long dinners over short meetings.
  • A larger life beyond work.
  • And phones that stay in our pockets a little longer.

The most interesting person you have not met may be at the next table.

Tell us a little about yourself. Applications are now open.
